Willow Sculptures

Animal Sculptures from £75

Decorative Items from £20

The majority of the willow I use is a variety called Brown Maul and is grown in Somerset. The willow lengths (withies) have to be soaked for 4 days and then left overnight to rest (mellow)before they are supple enough to weave. Sculptures may also contain wire to give them strength.

If sculptures are to be displayed outside I recommend spraying them with a coat of linseed oil and white spirit in equal quantities to help pretect them from the elements.  This should be repeated every 12 months in order to prolong their lives. Bringing them indoors during the winter months will also help preserve them.

THESE ARE NOT TOYS AND MUST BE KEPT AWAY FROM PETS AND CHILDREN
